I've seen on other forums how a few adults don't think it's a good idea to involve children in the paranormal to any extent. They say it's too much of an emotional, mental and physical burden.
I don't really agree with this. From what I've seen of the first episode (I'm going back and forth between this post and watching it on the Cartoon Network site) it's an adequate balance of science to the extent that teenagers are able to grasp things and just flat out kids being in an emotionally charged atmosphere. This show is aimed at kids. Bottom line. It's going to show kids that fear is a perfectly acceptable emotion to feel if they find themselves in a situation involving a potential haunting, but also that it's okay to be curious once they overcome that fear. I expect the girls to say they're freaked out and don't want to go into an allegedly haunted place once they arrive, but perservering when the time comes.
The team isn't made up of small children. The youngest is 13. These are teens who are already maturing emotionally and I think are quite able to hold their own. Besides, I'm quite sure that they have adult supervision and that they would never be allowed to investigate a place where they might be put in mortal peril or likely to sustain physical injury.
I will definitely be viewing future episodes, if I can remember when they air.
